B404 is seeking a hands-on Hourly Front of House & Bar Manager to lead and support the bar, server, and host teams. This role requires someone with strong working knowledge of craft beers, cocktails, and spirits, but also someone who’s comfortable jumping in wherever the team needs - including supporting the kitchen, managing the shift flow, and handling daily cash and reporting duties.
Hourly Restaurant Manager Job Summary
- Contribute to the success of the restaurant by managing operations according to Inspired Concepts, LLC standards, policies and procedures. Operations include, but are not limited to, production, inventory, cleanliness, staffing, team member development, cash handling, safety, training and Guest service.
- Experienced in the art of mixing, garnishing and serving both alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks according to recipe.
- Ability to craft quality cocktails and other beverages, classic and innovative, to enhance the dining experience of our guests.
- Stay up to date on current beverage trends and make recommendations to ownership.
- Oversee shift operation from open to close.
- Ensure all food and beverage products are always prepared according to specification, 100% highest QSC standards.
- Effectively lead and support Bar and Front of House team with positive motivation.
- Manage seating flow, table turns and guest experience.
- Support back-of-house during high-volume if needed.
- Train, mentor and motivate Bar and Front of House team members.
- Support sales efforts and general business transactions by developing courteous and productive relationships with Guests and vendors.
- React to Guest issues in a timely and professional manner.
- Ensure accurate inventory, cash handling and end of shift reporting.
- Restock and replenish bar inventory and supplies.
- Maintain a safe working environment by monitoring compliance of health, safety and alcohol service standards. Including checking ID for all alcoholic beverages.
- Other job duties as assigned.
- Preferred minimum 2 years front-of-house experience in a restaurant management role with a focus on bar management.
- Proven leader within a restaurant environment with the ability to inspire others to work toward a common goal and reach their potential.
- Hands-on management style that emphasizes direct involvement in day-to-day operations.
- Excellent project management skills from conception to evaluation.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and to deadline.
- Ability to function independently and intuitively in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent verbal and communication skills.
- Team player with a can-do attitude.
- Highly organized with strong attention to detail.
- Effective interpersonal, influencing, coaching and conflict-resolution skills.
- Computer skills that include proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and a POS system.
